Wind At My Back chronicles the struggles of the Bailey family –torn apart by economic hard times while trying to survive The Great Depression of the 1930’s. The lives of the Baileys are the backdrop for stories of family bonds and the poignancy of love; sometimes funny and awkward, sometimes haunting, sometimes full of pain.
A young girl (Sarah Polley) is sent to live with her mother’s relatives in Prince Edward Island. Set in the early 1900’s, the series follows her adventures, as well as that of her family and the town’s people as she grows up in Avonlea.
Christmas in New Bedford is not how it should be. Grace and her mother have gone to Europe to recover her husband's belongings when war breaks out and they are stranded.
